Status: Cancelled

UPDATE: I have talked to the Event Center and they have agreed to let me out of the Thanksgiving race. There are no known cases in Nebraska or the immediate surrounding states (That can always change) but with the panic I have had people cancelling. If I try to move forward (even by limiting any contestants that have been down south) and I don't get many entries, not only will I financially lose my behind, but will still have to pay the Event Center. This is a producer's worse nightmare. I feel for everyone that has horses affected. By all means we want to keep your horses safe, but at the same time please know the facts. I am a small producer and feel the pain, I have no idea how the BFA can handle this. My heart goes out to them and all the people with horses affected. That being said, we are looking at a possible weekend in January. I'm not going to lie, January scares me. I quit having January races in the past because of the weather. If we don't go with that, our next race will be February 20-23rd. All of the buckles say Thanksgiving so we will have Thanksgiving in February possibly. I will be getting out the schedule in the next few days. If you would like to carry your entries and stalls over, you will get first choice on dirt for that weekend.
